Your Guide to Membership BenefitsWelcome to the AAA Family
As a member, you have at your command a nationwide network dedicated to serving you and 50 million other members in more than 1,000 offices in the United States and Canada. Please look over your Member Handbook. Get to know your AAA Services and use them. Feel free to call us, visit your local AAA branch office, or visit us online whenever you need assistance. Primary Membership - An individual membership that entitles you to all the services, benefits and protection offered by AAA. Associate Membership - Primary members can extend their AAA membership to include a spouse or one other resident adult and children under the age of 25 who reside in the household or are away at school as a student. Associate members must hold the same level of service as the primary member. AAA Basic - Entitles you to all the standard club benefits and services. Benefits include:
AAA Plus - Add even more value to your basic membership by upgrading to Plus. Benefits include:
AAA Plus RV Rider - Extends the benefits of AAA Plus membership to cover registered motorhomes, pickup trucks with campers, travel trailers and motorcycles.
Roadside Services All Membership Levels: Whether you're driving across country or across town, AAA is there. And, you will be covered in ANY car — whether you riding or driving. Includes up to (4) four Roadside Assistance events during the anniversary year. Eligible Vehicles Basic and Plus: Registered four-wheeled vehicles. Plus RV: Covers registered motorhomes, pickup trucks with campers, travel trailers and motorcycles. Excludes boat trailers, animal trailers, etc. Towing Basic: Up to 4 miles from the point of disablement at no charge. Plus and Plus RV: Up to 100 miles of free towing in any direction from point of disablement. Lockout Service Basic: Attempt to gain entry or locksmith service will be provided up to $50. Plus and Plus RV: Attempt to gain entry or locksmith service will be provided up to $100. Fuel Delivery Basic: Deliver of a limited supply of fuel to your disabled vehicle to enable you to reach the nearest open service station. Charge current pump price. Plus and Plus RV: Fuel delivered at no cost to you. Extricating / Winching Basic: One truck, one operator. Charge if special equipment or more than one truck/person is required, up to 30 minutes Associated costs may be at your expense. Plus and Plus RV: One hour free service by a second truck and operator at the scene, up to 1 hour. Battery Boost All Membership Levels: Attempt to start your licensed vehicle. Provides jump-start and, if needed, battery replacement service where available. Offers exclusive AAA member prices. Flat Tire All Membership Levels: Install an inflated, serviceable spare tire. If no spare is available, vehicle will be towed according to towing benefit. Trip Interruption Basic: Not applicable. Plus and Plus RV: Trip is interrupted due to a collision accident. The accident must occur while driving an eligible vehicle 100 or more miles away from home and be reported to the police (and/or your insurance company). Members will be reimbursed up to $700 for one of the following provided these expenses are incurred within 48 hours following the accident. Passport Photos All Membership Levels: Reduced rate for AAA members.

When your vehicle cannot be made operable by providing the services covered by your membership, AAA Colorado will help you find the nearest open place of repair. If a repair facility cannot be located, we will assist you in obtaining lodging or alternative transportation. Charges for services that exceed the benefits listed will be at the prevailing hourly or mileage rate of the region where the service is provided. Requesting reimbursement for roadside assistance To request reimbursement for Roadside Assistance, submit the proof of payment within 90 days of service to; AAA Colorado Attention: Reimbursement Department 4100 E. Arkansas Ave Denver, CO 80222 AAA may adjust or deny reimbursement for service provided by individuals or companies not normally engaged in providing Roadside Assistance for AAA organizations. Roadside Assistance check acceptance Your personal check for up to $250 will be accepted by any independent contract facility providing Roadside Assistance or repairs for AAA members. A valid membership card and identification must be presented at the time of payment. The name on the check must match the member name. A word about Roadside Assistance Roadside Assistance should not be used as a substitute for proper vehicle maintenance. Each member may request Roadside Assistance as often as needed. AAA provides up to four (4) service calls for each primary and associate member during a membership year, except for charges required of the member for certain services (as explained in these guidelines.) After four (4) service calls, the member will pay at the scene or, at AAA's discretion, be billed for each additional call. A member who does not pay this bill may become ineligible for benefits and subject his or her membership to nonrenewal or cancellation.
EnCompass Magazine Published six times per year, this is your member publication which includes articles about how to get the most value out of your AAA Colorado membership. Each issue contains travel articles, details on AAA programs, discount information for a variety of services, website updates, advocacy efforts and how-to articles about your car, travel, and driving tips. Trip Interruption Benefits Due to Collision Accident - Plus & Plus/RV Members AAA Plus and Plus/RV members are entitled to one of the following benefits when a trip away from home is interrupted due to a collision accident. The accident must occur while driving an eligible vehicle 100 or more miles away from home and be reported by the local police (and/or your insurance company). Members will be reimbursed up to $700 for one of the following, provided these expenses are incurred within 48 hours following the accident.
Reimbursement must be requested within 90 days of the accident and member must be active with AAA Colorado. $1,000/$2,000 Auto Theft Reward Car thieves are reluctant to steal an automobile that is safeguarded by the world's largest automobile club. AAA offers a $1,000 reward to anyone (except peace officers) who provides information to police that leads to the arrest and conviction of a person or persons stealing a AAA Colorado member's car. The person who files a claim for the reward must provide written notice to AAA within 90 days after the conviction. In addition, AAA Plus and AAA Plus/RV provide auto theft rewards of $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a person vandalizing, stealing or using your vehicle in a hit-and-run accident. To be eligible, the vehicle must be registered in the name of a AAA Plus or AAA Plus/RV member. Legal Reimbursement Members of AAA Colorado are entitled to reimbursement of attorney's fees for defense of certain traffic violations as outlined below. Violations must have occurred while the member was in good standing with AAA. The member, if arrested or charged with a traffic violation arising from the use of an automobile, will be reimbursed, upon presentation of a paid bill from the attorney who actually participated in a trial in defense of such alleged violation. Reimbursement must be requested within 90 days of receipt of the paid invoice from the attorney. The member must plead not guilty, as per the following schedule: For the defense of negligent homicide or manslaughter: Original trial Limit $1,000 For appeal Limit $1,000 For the defense of reckless driving: Original trial Limit $100 For the defense of other traffic violations: Original hearing Limit $75 For appeal $75 Plea bargaining before court date or outside court chambers will negate reimbursement of legal fees. AAA Plus or AAA RV members receive higher reimbursement as follows: For the defense of negligent homicide or manslaughter: Original trial Limit $1,500 For appeal $1,500 For the defense of reckless driving: Original trial Limit $150 For the defense of other traffic violations: Original hearing Limit $100 For appeal Limit $100 Exclusions The following are not covered by legal reimbursement benefits:
